He is one of the greatest Spanish photographers. Alberto García-Alix is a key figure of the creative avant-garde from 1970 to 1986, which, in Madrid, contributed to ousting the avatars of the Franco dictatorship and its forty years of censorship and muzzled silence. A Poet, rocker, and anarchist matador in post-Franco Spain, Alberto García-Alix draws his inspiration from his immediate entourage, “the people before his very eyes”. Kamel Mennour and Alberto García-Alix have been working together since 2003.
