Luxurious monograph (tracing paper pages, inserted poster and booklet) based on Huang Yong Ping’s monumental installation at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco (a huge octopus hanging from the ceiling), documenting a series of recent exhibitions by Chinese artist, with an essay by Jessica Morgan and the transcription of a round table with many personalities around the artist. Published on the occasion of the installation Wu Zei at Monaco’s Musée Océanographique, from November 2010 to Spring 2012. Founder of the Xiamen Dada group and one of the leading figures of Chinese avant-garde in the 1980s, Huang Yong Ping (1954-2019) participated in the 1989 exhibition Les Magiciens de la Terre. He moved to Paris, where he currently lives and works. He represented France at the 1999 Venice Biennale.
