La série « 11 Animals that Mate for Life », a été inspirée d’un diaporama en ligne sur le site Mother Nature Network intitulé « Onze animaux qui restent en couple toute leur vie ». Publiée à l’occasion de la Saint-Valentin, cette collection est enchanteresse et inquiétante, les appariements d’animaux affectueux soutenus par des lavis lumineux démontrent à la fois une personnification absurde de la nature et l’expression de nos attentes, probablement contre-nature, de fidélité, d’animalité ou de sauvagerie dans les relations humaines.<br /><br />The ’11 Animals that Mate for Life’ series was inspired by an online slide show on the Mother Nature Network website entitled “Eleven animals that stay in a relationship all their lives”. Published on Valentine’s Day, this collection is enchanting and worrying, the pairings of affectionate animals supported by bright washes demonstrate both an absurd personification of nature and the expression of our expectations, probably unnatural, of fidelity, animality or savagery in human relationships.
