HANDS#25, 2025

This series of mural aluminium framed sculptures by Mohamed Bourouissa is part of a research project on gesture and contact. This reflection was initiated by the artist in his foray into theater (<i>Quartier de Femmes</i>, 2023) and recent film (<i>Généalogie de la Violence</i>, 2024), for which he has collaborated with choreographers. The photographs of the <i>Hands </i>series are printed on colored Plexiglas and layered with metal pieces and grids. Touch becomes an expression of sensibility, and a support for the tridimensional development of a certain “emotional geometry” that has characterized the artist’s work since the beginning.
