The centenary commemorating the artist François Morellet (1926–2016) was marked by numerous exhibitions, events and discussions across France.
 

Organised by the Centre Pompidou and the Morellet Endowment Fund, these diverse events demonstrated the contemporary power of a visual art practice that takes many forms, constantly engaging in dialogue with itself and with life, transforming the artwork into a language and language into a resource for art.
